What name appears as the sender when recipients receive a payment through Mural?
Last updated: April 3, 2026
When you send a payment through Mural, your recipient may see a different name as the sender on their bank statement β not your name, your company name, or Mural. This article explains why and what to expect for each currency.
The sender name your recipient sees depends on the currency and country where the payment is delivered. Because Mural works with local payment partners in each market, the name that shows up on the recipient's bank statement reflects the entity processing the payment locally.
Here's what recipients currently see by currency:
πΊπΈ USD (United States) Payments arrive under your company or personal name. Same-name payouts are fully supported.
πͺπΊ EUR β SEPA Payments arrive under the name Bridge.
π¨π΄ COP (Colombia) Payments arrive under the name Pexto Colombia.
π²π½ MXN (Mexico) Payments arrive under the name Arcus FI.
πͺ Other currencies The sender name is determined by the local banking rail in each country. If you need to confirm the exact name for a specific currency, please reach out to our support team.
Can I change what name my recipients see?
Currently, same-name payouts are only supported for USD transfers. For all other currencies, the sender name is controlled by the local banking rail and cannot be customized at the account or organization level.
Our team is aware of this need and actively working to expand same-name payout support to more currencies and markets. Stay tuned for updates!
